Online Courses

  • Do I have to complete the Online Courses?

The FAST Foundation is recommended for those that are planning on taking a course in our Disaster Behavioral Health Trainings for children and special needs populations (CFAST, and BFAST plus SN).

The Basic Epidemiology is a mandatory pre-requisite should you choose to register for our Intermediate Field Investigator Response and Surveillance Trainings (IFIRST or IFIRST2).

If you do not plan on attending onsite courses, completing the online courses is your decision.

  • Do I get Continuing Education Credits for Online Courses?

We do not offer continuing credits for our online courses.  The exception is for Basic Epidemiology when taken in conjunction with Intermediate Field Investigator Response and Surveillance Trainings (IFIRST or IFIRST2).

Continuing Education Credit (CEC)
  • Continuing Education Credit (CEC) link does not allow me to access CEC’s

The following link provides only basic information about CEC’s http://www.srahec.org/fcphp_CE. Requests for Continuing Education Credits are completed at the onsite trainings. We do not process CEC’s online.

  • Why can’t I access the modules for the course?
Click the My Personal Course Transcript tab to check the status of the program and that you are registered for the course.  If the status shows that the pre-test needs completing, you will need to complete this before the modules are accessible.
  • Why isn’t the post-test showing as “Done” when I have taken the post-test?

If you do not pass the post-test the status will show as Available.  You will get an error message if you do not score the pass score or higher. A 75% correct score is required to pass the post-test. If you do not pass the post-test, the web page will re-display the post-test. The answers you need to re-take will not have a response choice selected. Re-take the post-test and hit submit.

See examples below.

Post-test not passed. The Course Status on the My Personal Course Transcript shows Post Test as Available.
Re-take the test, checking that you have answered every question. If you are unable to retake the test immediately, you may want to print out your current answers for a later time.
